About Park Furnishers

Our history dates back to the early 1960s. Founded in 1967 by John and Margaret Park, the company started as a small, family-owned business in Bristol. Over the years, it has become one of the region's largest independent furniture retailers.

The company originally focused on offering high-quality furniture and home furnishings at competitive prices, a commitment that has remained a cornerstone of its business philosophy. Park Furnishers quickly gained a reputation for its excellent customer service, extensive product range, and attention to detail. This reputation helped the business expand from its original location to larger premises in the Bedminster area - which it called home for over 35 years.

In the late 1990s, Park Furnishers continued to grow, offering a wider variety of products, including kitchens, flooring, and home accessories. The expansive showroom became a go-to destination for customers looking to furnish their homes with stylish and affordable products.

Throughout its history, Park Furnishers has remained a family-run business, maintaining its local roots while adapting to the changing retail landscape. The company has embraced new trends and technologies, ensuring it remains relevant and competitive in the modern market.

In 2016, Park Furnishers was acquired by the Leekes Retail and Leisure Group, another family-owned business with a similar ethos and history. This acquisition has allowed Park Furnishers to continue its growth while benefiting from the broader resources and expertise of the Leekes group.

In the spring of 2021, Park Furnishers moved to its new and current home at Eastgate Retail Park on the other side of the city in Eastville, just 3 miles north east from Bristol city centre.

Eastgate Retail Park is situated near IKEA, and after taking over the previous Mothercare site on the park, Park Furnishers added its very own flare to the building paying homage throughout to the much loved city of Bristol - ensuring to keep its Bristolian heritage at the forefront.

Park Furnishers continues to serve Bristol and surrounding areas, offering a wide range of furniture and home products, from contemporary designs to classic styles. Despite its growth and success, the company remains true to its origins, focusing on quality, service, and value for money.
