History of Bedminster

Bedminster is a district of Bristol on the south side of the city with a population of more than 12,000 people. The eastern part of Bedminster, known as Windmill Hill, is considered to be Roman.

Bedminster is currently known as the affluent suburb of Bristol, with the eastern part known as Windmill Hill.

With the weather set to keep scorching this summer, having a dip in the pool is one of the best ways to cool down. Get the whole family involved and take a trip to Deane Lane swimming pool which is a shady retreat in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Bedminster. This pool is situated right next to Dame Emily park, so you can extend your day by having a picnic in the sunshine too.

Formed in 1976, Windmill Hill City Farm has a fantastic back story that focuses on ethical elements as local residents had envisioned building a farming experience in the heart of the city that saw a piece of inner city wasteland used for more productive purposes. The farm now offers both educational and recreational activities, and serves delicious homemade food for visitors. This wonderful farm is a must visit for anyone visiting the Bedminster area.
