Park Furnishers website accessibility policy

Park Furnishers recognises the importance of providing a website accessible to all user groups. We’ve
explained the key accessibility features below.

We welcome your feedback regarding the accessibility of this site.

General statement

Wherever possible we use of clear, simple language which is easy to understand. We do not use sudden colour changes or flashing elements. We do use validated HTML (Hypertext Mark-up Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)

Standards Compliance

We have endeavoured to ensure our website conforms to level A compliance as specified by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Some parts of the website provide enriched features using JavaScript. Where javascript is used we are working towards providing equivalent functionality for users who are not able to use JavaScript.

Design considerations

We have selected our background colours and text colour / text size to help users with a range of visual impairments. We have selected a clear, legible font in a size that is suitable for most users and do not use pop-ups whenever possible. All our forms are clearly labelled to help users understand the purpose of the form and what information they need to provide.

Navigation

We have endeavoured to organise our pages in a clear and simple structure using a navigation that is consistent throughout the website.

Images, videos and other non-text elements

We provide alternative text (alt text) for our images and non-text elements, such as animations, symbols, audio, video and multimedia have text equivalents. Decorative graphics or formatting images have empty alt attributes.

Frames

We use very few frames on our website. Where a frame is necessary we’ve provided titles to help screen readers explain the page.

Scripts

Our website uses JavaScript to improve user experience but our most important pages have non-JavaScript pages.
